With a deductible of course. Good thinking though!

There's an old story in commercial photography...
...a photographer and his new assistant are doing a shoot on a boat. The boat pitches and the photographer drops the camera overboard. The new assistant, being a real go-getter, tears off his shoes and dives overboard. He pops up with the camera in his hand. The photographer then puts his foot on the top of the young fella's head and says, "Thanks a lot but it's insured against LOSS but not DAMAGE...put it back down there.", and he gives the assistant a shove back down to send him on his way.
Insurance?
Best

Nope. No insurance. I've never heard of any sort of insurance on an iPod. Perhaps on an iPhone... but not the pod. I'm just S.O.L. in the $300 range.

If you take it by an apple store, and smile, they may exchange it for you for a reduced price. I've heard of many an Iphone being replaced for half price or sometimes free if they can't figure out the reason for the problem.
I was scarred it was Winston so you're lucky it was only electronics that will be obsolete in a year or so anyway.

OK, let's all file this under a kilt don't: Don't put your sporran in the washing machine without making sure you've emptied it first.
I think you should have a wake for it; invite all your friends and remember the good times.

Indeed, though I'm pretty sure Winston would have "said" something had I accidentally placed him in the wash.

Yes. But, the warranty doesn't cover water damage.
