    Darkislander,

It did not come out in the pic but there is a red line in the MacKay or Morgan Blue tie.

    John,

I really like my Black Stillwater shadow tartan kilt. A black kilt is a handsome and extremely versatile garment I would offer one bit caution to people that not all blacks work together.

Generally when one wears a black suit jacket and black pants they are purchased as a set. They are the same color, and being the same material, will have the same texture.

Solid color kilt and matching jacket can look really distinctive. When Hamish wears one of his kilt suits, both jacket and kilt were purchased together. Same with a really striking tweed kilt suit Rocky showed off in another thread.

I have tried to wear my wool SWK black with my wool formal jacket and while they work together at a distance, up close they look mismatched.

    Just my two cents

    Cheers

    Jamie

I do agree with you about the universality of the black Kilt, they are just plain awesome.
