Not bad at all says I. I'm thinking the darker grey but then again I'm not assembling it ....

Not sure what you mean by the darker grey. Is it a stripe?

CT, If you look at the scans of the Tartan I posted you will find that if you pleats to the dark gray you will lose the four colored stripes that make this Tartan so distinctive. There is only a thin red line in the dark gray.
But hey, it's your kilt. e-mail me if you want it pleated like that.

I have a strip from a waistband that I'll pleat up a couple of different ways.
Then you can tell me which you like best.
