In the "Great Glen and Caledonian Canal" section is this photo,

which is a nice shot of the Glengarry Castle Hotel, the old manor house constructed 500 yards NE of Invergarry Castle, home of the Glengarry MacDonells.

We were there almost exactly one year ago today!

Here's MadBagpiper at the front entrance

Here mom and little brother join him on that splendid walkway down to the shore of Loch Oich.

And here is the castle itself. Historic Scotland and the owners have undertaken a stabilization project to make the ruin safer for visitors. I believe that this work is now at or near completion.
