no need for a rant...

BTW, the haggis served in Glenwood last year (before we moved) came from.......DENVER!
OK, now i feel better after that wee rant, 'scuse me
How was I to know whether you've been or not? Honestly, there was no need for a rant.
Besides (and this might be considered blasphemy), a Burns Supper is not all about Haggis -- it is about celebrating the works of Robert Burns. I have been to many Burns Suppers myself, none of them served Haggis as a main course, yet they still managed to convey a spirit of earnestness in their celebrations. If you're there only for the Haggis, you're missing the point.
If you don't like how something is done, instead of grousing about it, why don't you join, get involved and bring your ideas to the table?
And,I hope you're not suggesting that all Burns Suppers who do not serve Haggis as a main course should get a "bluidy life" -- you're always welcome to come to ours in Springfield, Missouri and see what we do. I would hope we wouldn't be judged only on our entree choices.
