I've got one myself. Love it.

I'm a National Guard Artillery Officer myself. 105 towed. Been a Battery FDC Chief, BN FSO, Support Platoon Leader, Target Acquisition Platoon Leader and now I'm a firing battery platoon leader and XO. I'm up for Captain shortly, and my last two OERs have basically said I should be put in command once my platoon time is over.

However, I'm supposed to go to Iraq next year, and my BN Commander has said at this point he'd rather send me as a CPT PL rather than moving me up to the staff. Suits me. All the fun of being a PL with the pay of a Captain (and with 14 years TIS, 9 of which were enlisted, that is good pay).

    Congratulations on the new kilt.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Excellent kilt. Pleated to the stripe makes it really stand out. Maybe you could sew some red inside the pleats to give the artillery some sway.....

My new US Army arrived today and I'm very pleased! The colors are a bit darker, richer and deeper than the pictures I've seen. My MP insignia looks great as a kilt pin. I'll wear this kilt with pride.

I know I'm getting older because I get emotional over just about anything these days. But this kilt is bringing back memories of my time in the Army and people I served with.
