They're Beginning To Notice...
I had what I thought was an interesting encounter while getting my lunch yesterday. I was wearing what I usually wear to work, an Utilikilt & button-down collared shirt (though today I’m wearing my new Freedom Kilt). As I entered a local sandwich shop there were a couple of young men (probably late 20s) sitting at a table & one of them comments that he’s seen several guys around wearing kilts lately & asked if there was a special reason I was wearing one. I kind of chuckled & smiled & said, “You’ve never worn a kilt, have you? Or you’d know why I’m wearing one – incredible comfort & freedom; incredible comfort.” I then pulled out my wallet & handed him an Utilikilt business card with xmarksthescot.com written on the back & said he ought to check out these websites.
I have no idea if he’ll actually take a look at the websites, but what I found interesting was his comment about having recently seen several other men wearing a kilt. Obviously, it had him wondering what’s going on. Yep, seems there’s enough of us wearing kilts regularly in the Phoenix area that guys are starting to take notice. The movement has begun… (…speaking of which, I gotta go hit the loo…)
Wear ‘em with pride, men. The reign of pants will fall. (…get it, pants will fall… OK, nevermind… carry on.)

Happiness? I'd settle for being less annoyed!!!

I keep going kilted to a couple of different Walmarts over here in AJ and east Mesa. People have told me that my kilts look good and so on... I went with pants the other day and a lady who works at the in-store sandwich shop kind of looked at me for a minute, then said, oh, I didn't quite recognise you with out your kilt. I mean, if it's ok in AJ, then it must be becoming recognised in the whole valley.
BTW
AJ and Mesa, are just outside of Phoenix for you people that live in Phoenix. LOL!

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

The folks at work (and the public who come in) have pretty much gotten used to my wearing kilts. The celtic pub I go to for lunch knows me by sight now (I'm sure because I always go in kilted). I've referred numerous guys to Stillwater kilts and to this forum (I haven't seen any posters yet, but they may just be lurking).

And where's Phoenix, again?
