Motorcycling (on or off road) is the only thing I don't think I would try. Though I would like to try hoseback riding when I retire and get my farm.

Glad to have the subject of the glass floor at the CN Tower come back up...it's one of my favorite things from Toronto. Kids just run out on it no problem...they actually get out there and jump up and down...totally fearless. Grownups, kilted or not, seem to have beaucoup trepidations about venturing out there...high "pucker factor"...I managed to inch my way out onto it and obviously McMurdo had the fortitude to get out there. It's fun.

I was thinking the bungee jumping thing, though. You might be fine on the way down (assuming that you jump head first) but when you hit the end of the line you'd invert like a cheap umbrella in a stiff wind and, undoubtedly, become an overnight sensation on Youtube.

Lying flat on my back on the crawler to change the oil on the cars.

I've got a 'scruff' kilt for normal under-bonnet checks, though.

Whilst I'm not full-time kilted (YET!), I have yet to wear my kilt for sleeping. My dear Stringy tells me that its uncomfortable to sleep unbifurcated. Anyone sleep in kilts?

Nope - Same rules as at a nudist camp! Well, unless you count the cat-naps in the barco-lounger/lazy-boy.

I to am not full time kilted, so there are quite a few things I do not kilted. Horse back riding is one, here in Az. the country is not kilt friendly for this. Usually wear jeans boots and some times chaps, cactus and such. Also country dancing with my wife not kilted, jeans again.

Well, you could wear a kilt on the way to the nudest resort. I don't think the nudest towels would count as a belted plaid though. I don't wear a kilt when I'm working on the trees and so on because I've put holes in too many jeans, just not worth it. There's a lot of those type things that you almost need disposable clothing for... paper kilts anybody?

Umm, I've worn kilts at such resorts James. On arrival, on departure have worn USA Kilts. Have worn Utilikilts to the pool to carry gear in the pockets, and when dining at the resort restaurant as an alternative to a towel to sit on. The UKs can come in handy as a "sun poncho" over the shoulders when the sun gets too much.

And, since its a long drive to the resort for me kilts provide comfort and freedom for the drive.

Always wondered why kiltmakers didn't address that huge market. I recently submitted a short article on the benefits of continued "freedom" outside the resort areas to their national office/newsletter. Haven't heard anything back yet.

Contrary to what one might expect there is a lot of clothing sold to that market.

So far, no where I wouldn't wear kilts...some places I'd be sure to don underwear - like around kids...particularly the little ones that are still crawling about.

A friend of mine is an amateur comedian and I wore my kilt to a local restaurant/bar where he was performing. I found myself a part of two other comedian's acts. One of them had asked who had been to the Ren Faire that year and I was among all of three people who did not raise a hand.

"Wait a minute. Hold on here. The guy in the kilt hasn't been to the Ren Faire?! Bartender, I need another beer pronto, my world is crashing around me!"

I totally blew his rhythm and, as a result, his joke.

I felt good that night ;)
