University kilt
Thanks for the responses.
I am taking a guess that re: the tartan, the blue stands for water - the rivers and Great Lakes; the green for forests and plants, the redish for soil. The origins of the university was as an agricultural and vetinary college. A noteable grad was the late John Kenneth Galbraith economist emeritus of Harvard and KFK fame.
