What did I order?
I've had a norwegian "national costume" for 30 years. Some ten years agp it started to shrink . Since then I have thought about about getting a new one, but I have also been a few times to Scotland and have become aware that I have Scottish connections.
The "Kilt thing" has been growing, and the reason I do it just now is that there is a wedding coming up in the near future, in the near familiy (not my own, I've been happily married for 29 years).
So should I buy a new black suit or should I take the great leap and buy myself a kilt outfit? My wife has been (is) a little sceptical (will you really wear a kilt, (not many people in Norway wear kilt)).
That decided it was natural for me to buy an MR PC, 16 OZ, 8 yard, "MacInnes hunting modern" through "Kiltstore".
That's the first step.
I'm going on a 2 week hike along part of the pilgrim path from Le Puy in France to Santiago de Compostella in Spain late this summer and I plan to wear either this kilt or another new one on that hike.
I've ordered my first kilt, but it won't be the last.
Iano

So you're going to my ancestral homeland of Galicia! I had tried to go to Campostella on my visits to Spain, but pre EU-funded development, it was so remote that train connections were not possible during my time there. I hope that you have a wonderful experience. Will you be hiking as an official pilgrim?
Why did you choose MacInnes? Is that the family of your Scottish ancestors?
