"High and Mighty" are a chain of stores specialising in big and tall sizes, stores in London in Knightbridge, the Edgware Road and the Plaza complex on Oxford Street.

For XL-2XL (48-52) there's a far wider choice of shops.

best regards
Actually, I do not know the London shops as well as all that, Steve - it is something like 19 years since I worked in the West End, and things change!

My three very nice Aran sweaters I had to get hand-knitted in Scotland at an embarrassingly, but not begrudged, high cost because I could not find anything like them in the shops in London or the south! On the other hand, I am sure the men's departments in most of the large stores on Oxford Street would have something to keep Mike warm: Debenhams, John Lewis, Selfridges, etc. Then, of course, there is always the expensive Harrods and Burberry, also at Knightsbridge. Marks & Spencer (2 large stores on Oxford Street) are also a possibility, although their local branches down here in Sussex, are now busy putting out all the kit for Spring!

Head for the Oxford Street area and I am sure you'll be able to find something pretty quickly, Mike - but it might not be exactly what you would like to be wearing with the kilt!

Take care,
Ham.

[PS: Just had another thought, but I do not know if the shops are still there or whether they have been swallowed up by Burberry. The Scotch House (Knightsbridge and Regent Street) would be an ideal source of knitted Scottish woollens - perfect for wear with the kilt. A good source of inexpensive woollens would be the national chain: Edinburgh Woollen Mill - but I cannot think of a branch in central London!!!! Anyone else?]
