At the last Richmond Celtic Christmas show, a couple of years ago, I was one of the few kilted guys there.I got that question several times. I just pointed out that I had about 15' of wool around me, and heat rises. Also, Last January, my wife and I redid our vows in a "Hand Fasting Ceremony" Of course it was outside and the temperature was in the mid 20s. No one asked if I was cold in my kilt. I have to confess that I was cold though. However my lower body was plenty warm wrapped in 9 yards of 16 oz wool Macneil of Barra kilt from Matt Newsome. My upper half was freezing by the time we finished and went back inside.
