More to come is right! I know there are thousands of pictures out there. I will try not to duplicate any moments (unless the picture is worthy)
At the beginning of the evening, before too much scotch tasting (actually as the formal introduction to the scotch tasting), I finally got to recite "John Barleycorn" (I had planned on doing this last year, but never found the right moment). Of course, I don't allow others to place me on a pedestal, but I'm willing to voluntarily step up for better projection.

While up on high, I managed to get a nice picture of my mother and my father-in-law (known here as Loma Jim, although I'm not sure he's ever posted!).

Alan and Joan arrived right in the middle of John Barleycorn, and, once I was helped down from my perch, we were able to say hello

Cloaked in Midnight Joan and I decided to peek at the haggis (is that like looking at the bride before the wedding?)

I was pleased that Piper George's wife, Gwen, was able to make it this year, along with a friend (Sharon)

More to come-a large showing from The Devil's Canyon Brewery (who provided much good beer and mugs to drink it in)

From the Devil's Canyon, we had Lissome Laura, shown here with Monkey@Arms and his lovely wife Cynthia

Here is Brewer Dan (Laura's husband), shown with walkerk

Here is Charismatic Kristianne (I'm not sure if I'm spelling that right), with her young daughter (who has been a fixture at all of the monthly parties at the Devil's Canyon since before she was born. This is the first time I've seen her conscious!)

I'm going to try to pick out some good individual photos of folks next. I'm afraid someone else will have to post photos (or perhaps even video) of the Toast to the Lassies/Lassies response, since our camera was with me during that time. I'm happy to post the text, but it won't have quite the same impact. I honestly don't mind demon red eye though-it would fit with the spirit of the presentation!
Oh, one last very worthy pic of Lissome Laura-someone had to use the fainting couch in the women's rest room!

I'll start the individual/couples shots with a picture of the most important person there, the one without whom none of this would be possible and the one we have to thank for feeding us....so, to the tune of Amazing Grace...
Amazing Madalyn, how great the food
You give a wretch like me
I once was starved, but now I'm full
Was weak, but now I'm free...of hunger that is

In the background of this picture is my mother-in-law from the side-none of the other pictures of her turned out well, so that's all you get!
Here is an equally hard working and essential person without whom we could not have put this on. Chris (buchdescendent's wife) received a tiara from the children for her role in feeding us.

Speaking of children-here's some of the under 18 set (there were 4 or 5 more floating around)

And, in no particular order, a few more guests...
Michael Steinrock and Nancy (I know they are pictured earlier, but they just look so good together, I had to show them again!)

And here's a weird couple who decided to crash the party (it was a challange to get a picture of us together on this camera!)

More to come, of course!

I won't have your head Alan, we'll just make you do the Address to the Lassies next year . Oh, and I LOOOVE being compared to the Ice Witch-just look at my avatar and my signature line in order to understand the sort of woman I aspire to be.
Now, where was I...
Here's MacKellar and his beautiful Debra (she's got that great pirate look going)

Piper George (I believe the camera had been drinking at this point)

CameronTaylor (look at that feast!). In the background to the left is a fairly new member, who is a resident at the retirement community where this was held. He's a Boyd, and I cannot remember his login name at this time.

A pair of X-Marks tartan kilts

More coming (we had a lot of X-Marks kilts there, and we did get a nice group shot, which I'll post eventually).

So, when I made Panache take this picture of gryphonaire and myself...

He got a little jealous and demanded the same pose...
Was this not what you meant dear?

TimC looking quite dangerous, holding the sword (with which he accompanied the haggis).

walkerk holding court

The procession, piping in the haggis

Some posed photos and shots of revelry to follow.

Here is the gathering of X-Marks kilts.
Front

And Pleats

Here's the whole Norcal Rabble (there were a lot more guests there, but this picture was just for forum members). I know this is a bit fuzzy-there are more of this same shot on other cameras-I'm sure we'll see them soon.

That pink death camo kilt on Panache actually belongs to way2fractious, but we all had to give it a whirl.

The other pink kilt was a gag gift from AlanH for Panache, but I didn't get any pictures of Panache wearing it-he preferred the camo. I see that Grant is on-I'm sure he'll have something witty and insightful to say about pink kilts at this point.
Revelry to follow.

The band was wonderful. This year we even provided them with enough information to play a great jig for our dancing. I'm not sure if there are any pics of the attempt at Scottish Country Dancing this year. If not, that's ok, it was pretty hilarious, but not very successful!

The children caroused

I changed out of my ridiculous shoes into dance ghillies and joined in

We all sang Auld Lang Syne-this shows the hall fairly well

A few random, weird shots and then I'm done, I promise.
