It's -16F outside (-26C)...
And for some reason, I can't get my wife to step outside and take a picture of me, kilted, standing by a bank sign that's flashing the temperature .
Maybe it's the -40F wind chill. I told her she's a wimp .
She says I need to get a job.

Ah winter in the frozen north! today it's a braceing -20F at 10:30 am with windchills around -50F. As W.C Feilds once said "It ain't a fit day out for man nor beast" (that may have been "night" not day come to think about it). Anywhoo indoors is definitly nicer!
Can we say brrrrr (I think I wanna go back to 'Zona for theraputic reasons!)

That is not as cold as I have heard our Alaskan & Siberian members talk about, BUT THAT IS COLD. A lot colder than I want to be in. You Minnesota have it too chilly for this southern boy.

You should have told her you would lend her a kilt to wear while she took the piccies - that would have kept her warm!

Exactly why I moved from Michigan to Kentucky! I'd attempt to move farther South if it weren't for my dear String, too!

We've been having temperatures dropping to around -10F give or take, but it's the wind that's been brutal. Last night we were getting gusts over 50 mph and windchills in the 30-40 below area. Of course, I walked back from my night class in just a t-shirt and jeans (just too windy for my kilts) and I was fine. Some woman who was obviously freezing and didn't want to be outside took one look at me and yelled "I hate you!"

Though it is not as cold temperature wise, I would be the first to wager that the percieved temperature is much colder than here. It is currently -22F here, with virtually no wind, and also very dry. I have been to the Twin Cities area and know the cold there is quite different and will soak right into you. Oh and here's a pic from last winter....I actually talked the wife into going out and taking it!
