Update on the life of Lucky Kilt #7.

I wore this kilt to church Sunday. At the beginning of the service we ask visitors to announce themselves if they please. A lone gentleman at the back stood up but I didn't quite hear where he hailed from. I had some duties during the service and so had occasion to walk up and down the aisle a couple of times.

Afterward I went to greet him and his eyes lighted up, he shook my hand warmly, and said in a strong brogue "Well, hello, lassie!" He commented on my beautifully-made kilt. Our church was founded by the Scots in America; he saw my kilt and the St. Andrew's Cross on the altar and felt at home.

It was nice to see him appreciate that beautiful kilt!

Of all your photos, I like this one, Moosedog -- your outfit is very "Northwest" looking & so appropriate for Oregon!

I think I own those same shoes, btw!

Yes, me, too. My next goal is to figure out how to get the ancient hunting version pleated to the sett. All the Robertson tartans have some, er, challenges.

What else can I say but...

    WOW!!

Beautifully made, wonderfully accessorized, and judging by the smile, a delight all round!

    Well done!

    cheers
