    Everything goes with a kilt

It's amazing the things that will go with a kilt! Sweaters of all kinds, Tshirts, Tank tops.
That's the thing about a kilt. Everything goes except dress shoes with regulular socks. that's not really working!

    Shopping for clothes

My measurements have become stable. A lot on the fat side, but not growing further. Go to "menswear" store. No kilts section. Be bummed out. Jackets wrong length to go with kilt. Wrong colour to go with kilt. Shirts, yea something that will go with kilt, check against tartan swatches. Ignore sale in p***s department. Run into another kiltie. Both of us ask salesperson where are the kilts? Salesperson looks like dear in the headlights. Large smile when leaving store.

There is no doubt that I have spent far more on kilt accessories than I have on kilts - and I have a lot of kilts.

Living over two and a half hours drive from a clothing store (other than WalMarche') I'm a catalog junkie. I get a lot of catalogs and review them all looking for "stuff" that'll work with kilts....its difficult because there's no guarantee the color shade in the catalog will be the same on the real garment when it arrives.

When I am "in town" I've been known to visit the men's clothing departments and stores kilted and when I walk in ask very politely and seriously, "Where are your men's kilts?"

Its just an extended aspect of the basic kilt addiction.

And "accessories" are a wonderful way to soothe the jones while waiting for a new kilt.
