Well, thank you, Nighthawk. Like I said, I don't think the man who inspired this thread was a "weird person," just mind numbed and brainwashed. Weird takes lots of work and research.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

The ongoing research I do in the area of "weird," in order to advance my own weirdness, generally consists of watching Monty Python's Flying Circus, Are You Being Served?, and Keeping Up Appearances, as well as reading and re-reading Douglas Adams, Robert Heinlein, and Isaac Asimov.
Oh, and memorising every song by Tom Lehrer.

I have the complete Flying Circus DVD boxed set in the back seat of my car, and I'm currently reading the copy of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: A Trilogy of Four" that I picked up in Bath.
Man, we're both in SoCal. We've got to meet up one of these days. We'd get along great.

If you're ever in the Inland Empire, let me know, and perhaps we can get together.
