Ok String, just to be weird, I got rid of the beard leading up to the lunar eclipse... I decided that I would really rather be able to have the younger school boy look with my kilts or what ever... It was the right thing to do, and I feel better now. I'll probably still do the stubble thing a lot of the time, but I need to be able to feel clean shaven some of the time. So that's that. I did have mutten chops for a few minutes just for fun.
THUS ENDS
THE SAGA OF THE BEARD

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

That sounded stupid: The Saga of the Beard.
It is nice, though, to have it gone now that I can compare. I'm sure the monkey people of the future and the aliens will be all shook up over this. They were my biggest fans, or will be my biggest fans.

I still have my long hair though. I'm going to keep that because I like it. Perhaps the monkey people of the future can take comfort in that. Who knows what the aliens think... They don't even have hair. They probably have everything all figured out, so have to watch us struggle and grope just to keep from being bord out of there giant alien minds...

If I could grow a beard I'd probably have the big mutton chop sideburns.

Yes, mutton chop sideburns are kind of... neat. You could have spit curls, though, string. Those are kind of nice too.
Now that I think about it, i've seen plenty of women with sideburn kind of haircuts. That was back in the eighties when I could see. Looked ok, they weren't mutton chops, but what do I know. Spit curls would be ok, but most likely quite out of style. Doesn't mean they can't come back in style. I would ask the monkey people of the future what they think, but it would take too long to find out their answer...
You hear that, monkey people of the future! We don't care what you think anymore!!!

I'm sure there will be a future monkey people person named Don Johanson who finds the remains of this thread and reads it. Very, very excitedly, "hoo hoo hoo," clicking through all the pages and pages, then lands on this page... What will monkey Johanson be thinking? Will he go bananas? Will he...?
Ehh, never mind.
I did notice that when my hair gets a bit longer i will be able to pullit back, covering my ears, and tie it in a ponytail. It'll be like built-in ear muffs... Not that I've ever needed ear muffs out here, but you never know.
Guess as it gets longer and longer, I could have a built-in scarf...

Hair accessories for men...
Some times I look down there to see who's viewing this thread... Sometimes there's a guest lurking down there like a ghost. Ever so often, I'll catch a member in here looking around.
Somewhere back in the middle of the thread it seemed like this was a vast room where a lot of people had been and left their cups and paper plates... a few forgotten coats and hats... I thought it was over, but it all picked up again with the picture posting frenzy back there.
It seems like we've entered a new room in this thread. It's like a side room off the grand hall that is... small and quiet. A place that a few weirdos come now and then to sit back and speak hair jibberish. People may open the door and look in, but don't usuallly say much.
Guess some if not most of those guests lurking down there might just be members sneaking around without sighning in. Or they might be time traveling monkey people from the future...
Oops, there was somebody.

I'm a big fan of mutton chops. If you don't believe me, look at my recently posted pictures.

Yes... It's Crusty Mutton Chops.
They can look good. So String, are you going to have Yeti grow some mutton chops for you? You could knitt him some woolly lamb legs to go with those...

Well, technically I did have mutten chops for a short time because as I was removing my full beard, I left them until last. I got to feel how they would look... That was one reason I did in the beard, so I could do a little styling on the way. I have no idea if they looked good or bad. I still think String should grow spit curls. Not that I know what I'm talking about.
I see that guest down there lurking in the shadows... Reading what we've written. You're a monkey people from the future, aren't you!!
