I don't even know where the Tabernacle is.
There are so many places to eat downtown I don't know where to start.

The Sundial restaurant rotates on top of the Peachtree Plaza Hotel. It's a fun place to take people who are new to town. I have never been there at sunset, but imagine the view would be wonderful then. http://www.sundialrestaurant.com/ It's within walking distance of the Tabernacle.

The CNN Center is nearby. Here is its Wikipedia article that has a list of restaurants in it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CNN_Cen..._to_the_public There used to be an English pub sort of place in there, but I don't see it, so it may no longer be there.

There is Mary Mac's on Ponce de Leon Ave for Southern food. From the name I guess the original owner may have been of Scots descent. http://www.marymacs.com/
My favorite Southern place though is the Majestic, further out Ponce de Leon. Neither are within walking distance of the Tabernacle.

There is a Hard Rock Cafe on Peachtree not far from the Tabernacle, but I have never eaten there or at any of them. http://www.hardrock.com/locations/ca...03&MIBEnumID=3

The best sushi bar in Atlanta is said to be MF, also on Ponce de Leon. I have never eaten there either. http://www.mfsushibar.com/

If you want something visual and chaotic there is The Varsity on North Avenue, http://www.thevarsity.com/ perhaps the last drive-in Atlanta if not the known world to have car hops, though there are rooms to eat inside. Best grease money can buy.
