Yep, I think your kilt observation will follow with most things we do. You become more comfortable in doing it and thus get more relaxed in how it' done. Just don't take up knife or hatchet throwing!

I have a friend who is quite good at that actually. She's been doing it for years, but for the most part she's pretty careful although quite relaxed around sharp objects.
