I would totally love to go on a kilted ren faire expedition! hehe. but in the case of that I don't know what kilt to wear? UK and be moddern, traditional and be proper, or great kilt and be a braveheart representation of william wallace.
hmmm.
Finn- thats awesome! I figure wearing it in public up front will let them know your going to wear a kilt durring the relationship hehe. that way its no surprise!

The power of the kilt is tremendous!
The power of the kilt is tremendous , but as others have said, the man wearing the kilt is what makes people turn their heads in awe, appreciation, and for the ignorant ones giggles. Men of emotional strength and courage wear the kilt to project their heritage and love of the freedom from pants will always win the women over any man in jeans and cowboy boots.

Way to set yourself apart. Your church must be a bit less uptight than the church I was attending when I was your age. If I'd showed up wearing a Guiness shirt I'd been drawn and quartered. Your version of Risk sounds like a good time.

Well, my youth pastor is a big guinness advocate, hehe. we kids do it to him ;)
no, I am on very good standing with about all the leadership at my church. Actually all the other adults thought it was really great. there was only 1 problem with an adult. it was a mother and it wasn't the kilt. hehe. she is the mother of an extremely bad ADD child. she is a bit up tight most of the time. well as the night went on in our risk game, it took about 4 hours to play though, we took a 30 min break where I ran out to my car and grabbed one of my fencing foils. everyone thought it was great that I was leading my troops in risk and calling invasions with a sword. well talking with my youth pastor later he said that he had a conversation with the mother that went as follows:
"that guy with the skirt..."
"yeah, thats Casey."
"is that a sword?"
"yeah, thats something he would do"
"is that real?"
"probably"
"isn't that dangerous"
"doubt it"
hehe, it wasn't really a problem she just didn't want to talk to me because I had a sword. it wasn't even a sword really it was a foil. Oh those fidgety parents! hehe.
as for the guiness shirt, well, it is a Presbyterian church so Kilts are totally in with the Kirks of scotland thing. and also it didn't say "beer" anywhere on it, the kids were SUPER sheltered so I doubt any of them understood it.
all in all it was a fabulus time.

More than likely it's the man that makes the kilt, not the other way around. It's more about you Casey and the Utilikilt just ties it together.

That is COOL. I ran the Junior High group at my church years and years ago, but that was long before I had on a kilt. Maybe I should try it again, now....LOL
