Yes....
As an operator of aforementioned satellites I can assure you that the foil has no effect on your readability.
Beanie propeller colour should, naturally, be white for a white tie event unless you are wearing a squirting boutonnière in which case it should match that. [the pull string should be routed behind your bluetooth headset]
I saw Farlanders post and my eye saw Faraday who is one of the pioneers of electricity static and otherwise.
As someone has stated the safety pin and other metal objects on the cloth would to some extent act as a "lightning rod" for the static buildup.
