yes, the kilt pin MUST discharge all the static electricity . . . otherwise the juice would flow through another "ground-pointing" extremity below the kilt's surface. With all the salinity in the urine and electricity's tendency to take the easy path . . . talk about PAIN!!

Oh my! I can see the sparks now. With all this static talk I think I will wrap my bed with aluminum foil before retiring for the night. And just to think I sold my flux capacitor in last years garage sale. Along with my collection of 6146 and 811A tubes. CW and SPARK forever! In a kilt of course...

Mythbusters did this one. They determined that there isn't enough cohesiveness in a stream of urine to convey a shock.
