I guess so.
I'm sure there's a good (maybe technical) reason for it, but what is the point of shutting down a forum for discussing photos?
Regards,
Rex.
When I first read it a saw it I didn't like it. Right now i'm sitting on the fence. It seem's the biggest problem, and I suppose this was the solution, is that Panache had a brilliant idea of different threads showing casual, dressy, classy & formal. Brilliant in that it gives us a place to go and get ideas. It didn't work because one would post pics and there would be four comments posted about it then next pic and so on. I guilty of doing just that we all are. So in that vein it's a good solution. as for post a pic and have other comment it appears that this tradition is still very much alive. Like thus:
Rex wonderful photo, as always dapper. Ever tried going with a paler green hose with that ensemble?

Well, actually, some lovat green hose are on my wish li..... Hey! Wait a sec...
What I mean't to say was that I hope that the style threads will be converted, but that we'll still have a place to post travelogues, for instance, without having to go "off-topic." Even some kilt photos deserve an explanation.
Regards,
Rex.

It might be helpful for the powers-that-be to explain the purpose of the new format. It appears one can load directly to the gallery, which is good, but at least for now if one attempts to upload a picture it is being held for review, . . . which isn't the case for pics put directly into threads.
Best regards,
Jake

Oh no! We just got through running around in the snow and Christopher had his kilt on. We'll probably hold off posting photos until we see what's going on with the albums since he has quite a few.
We came back in and I was shocked... "what's going on with the photo forum??" heheh.

Trying to keep an open mind on the new photo forum, unfortunately have had no success in posting photos on it.

Can we still post photos to other rooms for discussion? Not are we able to technically, I see that's possible, but 'Here's X, let's talk about it'.

Only had a quick look so far but although it refers to comments I cannot see a facility for making them and it would also appear to drastically reduce the picture size which will have an effect on visible detail.

Well I managed to get a picture up no problems and you can click on the picture and get it at higher resolution too.
But still no facility for making comments that I can find.

I am the first to admit that I am not a techno wizard, far from it in fact.I am also not trying to cause mischief and recognize that the "powers that be" need to update things from time to time, but will it be possible to view the old photographs that have been published in the now defunct "show us your pictures" section? Or, are they lost to us?
