Thanks for the comments.
To answer the burning question regarding casual vs. semi-trad, all of my kilts from USAK are casual. I'd rather have two different (or five or six) kilts than have two kilts that are more tailored.
As to Panache's comment (which I knew someone would bring up) regarding sock length. What can I say? I'm more comfortable in crew socks rather than kilt hose unless I'm dressing up or it is really cold (well, cold for Nor Cal anyway).

USAK's Casual kilt is a very good deal: quality at a modest price.

Have you tried cotton kilt hose?
