    I agree with everyone's comments about going more casual. That said, I prefer to wear a regular black necktie with my Agylle jacket. It seems to make a nice bridge between the dressy and formal, without overdoing anything. Also, I hate bowties, so that's personal preference.

    My avatar is Irish National with the necktie. This is the outfit I generally wear to church. The rest of the time, school (I teach part time), work, or just hanging out is with an open neck shirt or sweater, and scrunched hose. For the holiday I will be doing a green Henley top, green hose.

    OOPS! AND, switch the brown sporran for a black one (to match your jacket, tie, and the stripe in your kilt).
    Of course, if you choose the casual route, the current belt and sporran are fine, but not with the black jacket and black tie.
    I still say go with your dressy look - very sharp, very classy!!
