I second, third and fifth (liquid) the above that this is the politest forum on the net that I've ever read or seen. It's edumacational too.Imagine how boring a read it'd be though if we all agreed about everything all the time, there'd be very little to talk about except when Hamish's next kilt comes out and who's where on Matt Newsome's list.

I'm still trying to figure out where there was an argument.Did i miss a thread somewhere?
Oh i've seen disagreements but i would not call them arguments.

When i first came here not so long ago,i was back in the stone age when it came to knowledge about kilts, and for that alone i thank all involved in keeping this Group going.
Also when i first came here, i said than that you guys (that includes gals)are the greatest and that still proves to be the right statement.

I love teasing people and i like to smile (unlike Steve-ole grouch) so dont ever take anything i say seriously.
I would never intented to offend anyone.
If i do so with out thinking, call me on it.

I have a question.Where the sam hell is the mens room in here???

The knowledge shared on this forum is valuable indeed. Looking for information (about any topic) on other forums can be quite a headache. The degree of openness and frank discussion is a welcome change as well. Sure, there's some negativity, but it could be a lot worse. Really.
The Babe stories and dog sporran idea made me remember a story my wife told me:

My wife spent most of her early years on a farm in Manitoba. It was a small farm, not a hobby farm, but one of those farms with at least one representative of each type of farm animal. One day her father brought home a cow. He told her and her siblings, "Don't get attached to it. We're fattening it up for slaughter." Before long, the children had named it Billy, and greeted it everyday after school, like it was a pet. One day, they came home from school and poor Billy was hung up to drain! A very harsh way to learn the realities of life!

For weeks after, whenever the family had beef for dinner, my future father-in-law would refer to it as "Billy-burgers", "Billy-steak", Billy roast"... you get the idea. It's kind of sad and funny at the same time. I love animals but I cried with laughter when he told me the story! (He tells the story better than I do, I think he's a reincarnated Welsh bard.)

CCYou disagree that Grant's avatar is a rock? It's far too cute. We do more on the forum than compete with Hamish for the most kilts. I have too few to even think of competing.
As far as forums go. This one is enjoyable by the respect we have for one another. Even if we pick on each other over something like rubber chickens, it is with respect and intended to be in good humour.
