Chase, I'm in late on this one but to second two ideas:

The military surplus are great for an understated sporran. I got mine from WPG and it is one of my favourites becuse it is understated.

This one is a no brainer. I read several posters who complain that they don't like dumping everyting in one spot. Well Turpin's the man to fix that. Beautiful leather work and all the pockets, clips or what ever that you need to keep your stuff straight.
Personally I feel lost without a sporran. I take it off for a long drive in the car or if I think it will interfere with what I'm doing. It goes to the side if I'm dancing close to a lady but other than that I want it right where I is supposed to be.
