Beautiful kilt and a nice casual outfit. I would scrunch down the hose hen wearing boots though.

    Cheers

A great looking kilt! My grandmother was quite a seamstress in her day and I wish I had gotten her to make me a kilt. Alas, now she's 95 and has such poor eyesight that she doesn't sew anymore. You certainly wear it with pride.

One note--with the black hose, black boots, black belt---why not a black sporran? You have posted your skill with leatherwork before, why not whip up a black sporran to top off your outfit?

I considered it but it was pretty chilly out last night and I wanted to carry the sgian that I made. I received the antler from the couple who was hosting the evening and I wanted them to see that it wasn't wasted.

Because I am a lazy louse. Thank you though, your words have inspired me to go out and get some material to make a new sporran. Next stop Springfield Leather!

And to the rest of you, thanks for all the replies. Ron, thanks for the view of the accessories. I am going to have to order some red traditional garter ties and red lewis hose now.

This kilt is awesome. I was surprised that after a whole night of sitting and playing music and chatting that I was still VERY comfortable. I dont think I would want to do that in my stillwaters. Made-to-measure kilts are the only way for me now. . . . geez look what happens when you get spoiled!

    Thanks again Grandma!
