Unfortunately mine don't look that nice anymore, too much firewalking and running over scorched earth (coupled with life on the farm).

Not a problem. They are tough as nails and will definetely take abuse. White's are the sworn boot of many in the Wilderness Fire crews. These one's in particular, hence the name "Smoke Jumper".

I have a pair of these I wear with Camo and solid color causuals.
They are called Snake Proof Boots by Rocky (Not Rocky USA Kilts if your about to ask).
They stand about 15 inches tall and are very comfortable.
Great for hiking the trails in winter or summer.

I highly recommend boots by Danner (www.danner.com).

The pair I wear occasionally with my kilt I purchased while a Marine in 1990. I replaced the laces once and had a new set of Vibram soles put on. With proper care (of the boots, not me) I expect to be buried in them.
