That sporran (or similar) you see at sportkilt can be purchased for almost half that price at Stillwater:

I have this sporran in addition to others, it does the job. I really like it for $16.75.

If you like the look of a leather sporran with a reasonable price tag, check out Donnie's offerings at http://www.wyvernleatherworks.com.

I have a few StillWater sporrans. They're fine for the price I paid for them.

What about the sporrans at Wyvern Leatherworks? Are they any good? There are a couple that are a little more in my price range.

I have one of Donnie's sporrans and love it. The leather has a wonderful hand and the construction is rugged, but extremely artistic. You can't go wrong with one of these.

You might check out the Inner Bailey. They have a nicelooking sporran for $65. I doubt it has inner compartments, though.

Also, do consider saving up for a Thorfinn sporran. They're made by our own Turpin, and are, by all accounts, fantastic. I'm planning to buy one for myself this summer.

I agree on saving pennies for a Thorfinn. The only other way to get what you want and still save money would be to make your own. I am attempting to do that, but my itty bitty brain just isn't allowing me to.

I made an all swade sporran that is ment to be worn on the side as an extra pouch. It wouldn't look good worn in the front, but I'm thinking of making another soft sided sporran that would be shaped a bit more like the run of the mill sporran that we've talked about. It would be wider, though, and I'm trying to design some folds in the back to give a bit of expantion ability. It will also be a turn piece with the stiching on the inside: all swade of course.
