    Lyrd,

    Welcome from Hampton Roads!

A few kilt weight thoughts (not all of them mine).
    - when its a bright sunny 90 degrees Fahrenheit day outside anything is hot!
    - a properly fitting kilt is more comfortable than a poorly fitting one.
    - Polyvicrose is more comfortable in warmer weather, but does not look as nice as wool.
    - If you let yourself get used to it, a tank can be comfortable in warm weather, but be prepared to SWEAT (drink lots of water) [being from the St. Louis area I knew a lot of people who worked every day in long sleeved shirts, heavy denim pants, work gloves and work boots regardless of the temperature].
    - Many people have summer and winter kilts.
    - The heavier the material the nicer the kilt looks

    Good Luck!
    Andy

from Blue Springs, MO! Good luck on finding a kilt. If you want a traditional, custom fitted, hand sewn kilt, let me know. You can check some of my threads for references.

Hello and welcome, Lyrd, from Houston, TX! I hope you like it here. I have 7 kilts, currently - 9 if you count the two large pieces of tartan material that I fold into a GK every now and then.
