In fact, there are some good deals at that thrift store for Scottish gear.
I have actually been watching the UK eBay site. The problem for me is that I'm a 44 tall and they're hard to come by.

Based on the overwhelmingly positive support for both vendors that I mentioned I placed an order with J Higgins and hope to take delivery of a new jacket and waistcoat in the next week or so.

Thanks to all for the advice and assistance!

Well, I was outbid on that tweed jacket. Not that I minded since I have a nice one from USA Kilt. Not sure I want one that light.

    Anyway, it was for charity.

I did win the Royal Stewart Kilt though!

USA Kilts for loads of reasons. The major one of which is the selection.

I don't have an Argyle, but I do have a PC which I purchased from Rocky, made by the same folks who make the Argyles that he carries. As for the jacket itself, it's well made (by off-the-rack standards; it wouldn't compare to a bespoke Saville Row jacket by any means), it fits, and I enjoy wearing it.

As for service, I can't say enough about Rocky. I ordered it for an event, gave him short notice, and he had a vacation during the time between when I ordered it and the event, and he still managed to get it to me on time for the event. I highly endorse USA Kilts for all your needs.

Rocky has excellent service as well. I'm glad you added that.
