My new tank arrived today, here is what I found:

    1) The length is wrong - 2 inches too short.

    2) The pleats are machine sewn and the red thread is very visible (MacGregor modern tartan). All of the tanks I have received from The Scotland Yard in the past were all hand sewn.

    3) The pleats are not aligned correctly nor pressed in.

    4) This kilt feels uncomfortable. It feels like there is too much material on the left side and not enough on the right side.

I noticed that the last kilt I ordered from them had almost the same problems, not to mention the wrong tartan.

I can only assume that they have had a turnover in their kiltmaking staff and their new standard is not as high quality as the kilts I purchased form them between 2001 and 2006. Their tanks are $450.00 each, and this kilt just isn't worth the money.

I have contacted them and attempted to arrange a refund/return.
