I'm a very creative man, so I call it the Ryan O. Ross tartan. I wanted to go with that just to make sure I didn't get into any sticky sittuations with any clan organizations or what have you.


...among some of my buddies, it's also known as the "Generalissimo" tartan, but that's a long story.

I'm in the middle of making a Kingussie style in desert camo to use for hiking this summer.
Using seven yards,pleating one inch wide and four inches deep.
Still undecided if i want to add side pockets,because im not really to fond of pockets,but it might be good for hiking and camping.My only thought is if you carry something in them they might rub my sides raw.
Very pleased so far as to how its turning out.

Will put in some pics when ever i find time to finish it.

That's the thing about the Kingussie pleat: If you use more than about 5 yards, you have to make the center box pleat really wide, to accommodate all of the cloth needed; you'll notice that my center pleat is quite wide, for just that reason... the problem goes away, however, if you use a solid colour (or camo print) cloth.
