Great Pics greg,
I visited Rome several years ago. A wounderfull town as well as Italy is a very nice contry, with a very interesting history.
You should have made a stop in Bremen when driving home, for a short meeting and a cup of coffee

Hi Günter,
I should have known. As a matter of fact I was in Bremen in September last year. Very nice city, I think.
Next time I'll send you a message through the forum.

I really like the low-level shot of you approaching the Coliseum, that is a great photo technique, as well as the comparison of you and Caesar.
I loved my three years I lived in Verona Italy, wish I never had to leave, the pace of life, food, wine are fantastic.

Ok, I'm only 20 Km from Bremen.
Therfore it is no aktion to come and to show a few special details of this wounderful town.
I've been several times in Bremen kilted as well as skirted. It's no Problem there.

Günter

Thanks for the wonderful pictures of Rome. You're correct Julius Caesar does seem to be wearing a kilt. By the way, Cincinnati, OH is a good city too.

Hi Greg, I'm happy you and your wihe enjoyed yourselves in Italy!
You choosed some really beautiful place to visit! From the big monuments of the ancient roman empire (and the chaos of the biggest italian town) to the tranquillity of the tuscany country.
Both need to be visited to understand their beauty!
About the kilt: the citizens of Rome (and of Milan too)are used to see strange people with strange suits, as they are used to see the pope, the Prime minister and other big politicians, national Tv cameras and journalists, some sets of films, ancient romans in their uniforms and so on... they're almost used to see everything every day, so even the kilt it seems to be usual!
IN the small cities as the Tuscany ones, people can easily look at a kilted man with positive curiosity and ask.
However usually, in Italy I found the felelings towards the kilts really positive as you said!
I'm kilted almost every day in a really small town (no more than 55.000 citizens) near the French border. ;)
thanks for the pics!
