I think a clergy tartan kilt would be very appropriate to wear. Throw on a dark jacket and you're sharply dressed for a formal wedding - as Nighhawk's pictures show. I think the tartan also looks great with a black clerical shirt (if that is what your tradition wears). If the wedding was more casual you could probably get away without a jacket.
I also think its a great tartan to wear any day.
