SWK - Even when it goes wrong, it goes right
So, a while back, I'd ordered a SWK Nightstalker. It took a 3 1/2" blind hem (hey, I've got short legs), but I love the security of the buckles rather than the snaps/velcro of my AKs (I'll still wear the AKs around the house, but if I'm going anywhere where a ratty t-shirt won't do, it will be the SWK for sure).
Anyhoo.. I have a birthday coming up, and Mrs. Coder starts talking about birthday presents. Of course, I start thinking that another Nightstalker would go quite nicely in the suitcase for our upcoming vacation. After some concern on her part (she's starting to think that a heroin habit would be less expensive), she acquiesces. Jerry's Unladen Swallows do their thing, and...
Deliver a very pretty Black Watch SWK Standard to my doorstep yesterday.
I'll admit I was a little taken aback by it, but I e-mailed Jerry this morning. I'd received an answer within an hour or so, and a new set of Swallows (hopefully Unladen and Uninebriated this time) are on their way with a certified Nightstalker even as we speak.
Seriously, neither Jerry or I are sure where the "Oops" occurred, but it's nice to know that, even in the moments when Murphy and His law rear their heads, that Jerry went out of his way to square me up. A lot of places would have made me send it back (on my dime, reimbursed or not) before shipping the replacement.
So, another vote for good customer service!
P.S. How do you STOP buying kilts? I seem to be picking them up at the rate of about one every two weeks, and I've got a couple of more planned out as soon Jerry gets them back in my size?

I feel you. In the past 2 months, my kilt collection has grown from 1 to 5. When does the madness end?
(hopefully never)

I firmly believe that a company's true colors are shown when things don't go the way they should. Customer Service is easy when things go well, the true test is when they don't and a company has to make it right.
Kudo's to Jerry V. for taking care of you.
Cheers

Jerry sounds like the man. I hope he gets some size 38 Irish Nat. Standards in soon. But yeah, I too have a lot of kilts I want to buy, it's like an obsession.

I was a bit surprised did Jerry did something similiar for me.
I ordered a kilt that came the wrong size, and I had never before had to return a kilt and was unsure what to do.
I e-mailed,and in no time recieved an e-mail back explaining they would send out the correct size and a pre-paid postage to send back the other.
There are not to many Companys that would trust thier customers enough to send another without you first sending back the other.
Thumbs up to Jerry and SWK.
