Highland games.
ORGANISERS of Hawick Highland Games have warned that unless more people support the annual event, this could be the last year it's held.
Local solicitor Rory Bannerman said: “This could almost be viewed as a make-or- break year for the Highland Games and so the more people that come along, the better prospect we have of having this event grow and prosper for the benefit of the town and its people.”

The games take place from 1-6pm on June 22 in the Volunteer Park.

Attractions include at least six pipe bands, a strong-man competition, a highland dancing competition and display, stalls, a bar, face painting, and a tug-of-war competition open to anyone on the day.
We need more people to support the Highland Games if they are to continue in their native Scotland. Please come along on the day if you are within travelling distance.
