I have a pair of royal blue gators. I don't think I have a kilt that would work with them...

Many thanks for your kind replies.
Tights were mentioned a few years back and didn't do down too well, but I think you probably mean pop socks which are tights that stop at the knee.
Royal blue chaps would be ok if they match your upper body wear, it is a common misconception the hose need to match the kilt, they don't, the flashes have to have colour that somehow matches with the kilt. But saying that I believe some rules are there to be broken !
I believe the highlander of old would have done what he had to to keep warm with what he had. He did not have the colour restrictions and fashion police to worry about like we have to.
I believe it is sometimes neccesary to think outside the box to come up with a solution to a problem.
    Your thoughts?

No I meant ordinary tights 15 denier. Hard to tell when being worn. I do wear pop socks sometimes as they keep feet warm. Fashion police? Who cares!
