Tartan: Fleming (STA #2531)
Weight: 16oz
Yardage: 8yrd
Customization: Knife pleat to the gold stripe, 2 straps with silver buckles
Why: It's my family tartan (GGGrandmother is a Fleming), it's an unusual tartan, and it looks absolutely amazing in person.
Now I have to save up the grand it'll cost to have it made and shipped from Scotland.

My first kilt was and remains my dream kilt:
NYC Tartan
16 oz. wool
handsewn in Scotland
I am a fourth generation New Yorker and consider this to be my district tartan par excellence.

This is a hard one - part of me would respond to just say - "My next kilt"
But to take it a step forward - When I absolutely want to look and feel at my best, right now, I will pick my beloved Leatherneck or my almost equally beloved Hudson Bay.
The choice is hard: Both kilts are hand made masterpieces. The Leatherneck was made in Scotland, and the Hudson Bay was made by our own ChattanCat.
