Hey, I think your photos were good. I liked all images. I share your disappointment at not seeing any kilted day to day folks. Reality is as has been said many times on the forum, it's for rugby, football or formal celebrations.

Great pictures, next time you come, try to make the time to meet up with some of us Scots who do wear kilts on a daily basis, as others have said, most Scotsmen wear kilts at some time but usually only for specific occasions.

Thanks for the invite. This trip was originally a business trip for a week in Edinburgh (got it right that time) to be followed by a week seeing the countryside in a relatively unplanned touristy loop. Had things worked out I would have loved chasing down some of you locals who are on XMTS. The first week I was committed to specific activities each night so socializing outside the group would have been tough. Unfortunately, at the last minute, the second week had to be significantly shortened so that I could get back to the US for a much sought after job interview (I got the job!!!) so we had a very abbreciated tour in three days. Lastly, taking along a breastfeeding 4 month old limited our access to pubs and other places of evening activity somewhat. Next trip will be specifically for fun, and by then the kid will be less of an issue. Then I will definitely be in contact about where to go and how to meet up with you natives for a planned international kilt night. Again, thanks for the invite.
