A nice stick is something I need to get myself, but I've put it off to this point. I happen to have a decent cane, standard design, nice little crook handle and all but it just isn't something I'd see myself walking the streets with it.

I also have a stick I cut from a sapling on my last hike. A rather large and vocal dog was across a ravine from us, and was shadowing us as we walked along. Knowing there was a bridge coming up where he could cross, and I didn't need my dogs getting into it with him I cut a nice six foot stick as a 'deterrent'. Fortunately he lost interest before the bridge but I kept the stick nonetheless. You never know when you might need a nice stick.

While perusing the Cold Steel site for the link in the Sgian Dubh thread, I came across these.

I've handled the African stick and didn't like it. Not stiff enough, the foot slips and the knob is too big for a comfortable grip in the hand. I know their Walkabout stick is a nice one, and it's got looks enough to carry around town too. Their City Stick is the most elegant of the bunch, and worth the money.

I'm really interested in seeing one of their Blackthorns in person though. It's not real blackthorn, it's actually an injected polypropolene. I'd worry it wasn't stiff enough for real walking stick use.

If you're interested in any of these, keep in mind almost all can be purchased much cheaper online at other venues.
