Well I`'ve made kilts out of booth the big diferene is the breaths a bit better but I wear pv allthe time and I have to say I never have any problems with the heat I mainly wear kilts between 8-10yrds depending on the sett size. Now is the 11oz wool a loose weave as it may not hold its shape well , I find the PV always hold it shape, are you making thre kilt, or having it made for you?

I had an 11 oz kilt once, does perform well in the heat. Poly blends perform well in the heat. I think the wool holds a pleat better. You can throw your poly blend in the wash, not the wool of course. I have two poly blends for the Fl heat, and they are great for that.

kilt hose are actually what makes you the warmest. In my opinion.
