Anyone cooking in Seattle must have a hell of a time preparing food with their "safe" 3 inch knives! Laws like that should just be ignored.
The law does not apply to a cook, or anyone who uses a knife as his profession. To save space, I only posted the pertinent part of the code. Sorry for the confusion.

To get back on topic, I know that Cold Steel makes a folding sgian, but it's far more money than I would want to pay for a non-traditional style.
I know that there are a few bladesmiths here - has anyone tried making a folder with a more traditional style handle?
