    I have one of each, and I like them both. For any weather other than 90 degrees, I like my Survival; when it's hot, however, the lighter Standard is more comfortable. I agree that the Survival is definitely worth the exttra dough. Love them pocketses!!

    I've a tan Mocker (dated from 2005 or so...before they had waist snaps) and more recent (2007-8) Heather Gray, Black and Olive Mockers.

    The Heather Gray is my softest kilt with an almost "brushed denim" feel, the other three have the heavier standard poly-cotton feel that my 80s era USArmy BDUs had. My first (2003) neo-traditional Black Original is like the Black, Olive and Tan Mockers.

    If you dig the cargo pockets but are like me and really like the slash front pockets too, the Survivals are the way to go. As mentioned, I prefer a sporran to cargo pockets, so the Mockers make more sense for me.
