Woot! Another story of the intrepid airship Saltire!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Sorry, folks, I'm taking my beloved out to sushi dinner tonight in early celebration of his birthday tomorrow, so no further installments today!

    Be well,

What is this? Does Jamie often spin stories for us? I know I haven't been here a year but is this a gift often bestowed upon the rabble?

    I like.. I like

Panache was our first storyteller and the inspiration for those of us who have written stories since.

I look forward to what happens in the past.

    (Hmm forward, into the past.)

OK Jamie - I never told you about the blue phone - where's the camera?

And that enigmatic twinkle Mister Brown projects, spot on.

And - as it is already here, here, many happy returns for your birthday.

Ardchoille - there are a number of other stories in the off topic section - I am not sure how to go about locating them though - perhaps links can be made by someone more conversant with the system (hint hint)?

I just realised that Ardchoille is Ian MacGregor, and amongst his interests (I just checked) are computers and physics.

Now, I am almost certain that the character of Ian McGreagor, AKA The McGeek, working at MHICE, sprang fully formed from my - er - brain, or maybe my subconscious.

Perhaps I ought to put in a disclaimer about not intending my characters to be real people - except the ones that are 'personas'.

I do try to incorporate items seen on XMTS into my stories, but I didn't intend this one.

So - if you see your name - albeit slighty dyslexiced, it is only you if you want it to be.

    Gentle Readers,

As for this small incident involving young Gregory that I have brought to your attention, I apologize to those that may have hoped for more installments in a rapid pace. There is a tale to be told and I hope it comes to be in a timely fashion that I might bring it to our fair rabble. I ask for your patience and suggest that in the intervening time that you peruse the tales of Mr. Dove and Madam Pleater for your enjoyment.

    Rev. MacGregor,

Indeed as you have surmised yourself, and your hypothesis valildated by our Mr. Dove, in the past I have turned my attentions to the writing of a few tales and some short verses of what I hope passes for poetry. I shared these with the noble membership of our forum in the hopes that they would be of some amusement. I shall attempt to list some of these shortly should your curiosity require further investigation into these minor works.
