Kilt sighting Chicago 7-19-08
So I was walking East on Madison Street between Clark and Dearborn at about 4:00-4:30 PM last Saturday and, lo, a kiltie was walking West across the street. I was, unfortunately, un-kilted at the time..
So was it one of our members?

Aye--it was ;-) If it was me you saw. I was walking with my wife wearing my MacLaren (modern). Following night was the good ol' Navy Edzell

You should have let us know, we've been having a number of kilt nights recently - one weekend before last, another this coming weekend - to welcome guests. MacTavishofJapan is due in this weekend.
And !!!!

Aha! So I wasn't hallucinating!
I just couldn't yell, "Kiltie, kiltie cauld bum!" across Madison Street and risk embarrassing a fellow kiltie.
Lookin' good, Detroitpete!

Kilted in Chicago
Thanks! We lived in Chicago in the early 90's and head back a couple of times a year for weekend get-a-ways. I ALWAYS go kilted in "good walking" cities like Chicago.
I'll let ya know next time we're headed there--fill me in on the next 'gathering' as well.

I may have been spotted too, walking the streets of Gotham in my Alphas doing the museum things with the family. I wanted to do the meet, but we were staying in Woodstock and didn't know about the 1 1/2 commute each way.

If by Gotham, you mean NYC, it's a shame that you didn't let us know. Unfortunately, the Metro rabble has been a bit busy this summer, but you never know. I, for one, would have loved to see an Alphakilt up close.

Everyone knows that the Batman movies have Chicago landmarks in it. Or that is what the tourguide told us I spend alot time walking down Wacker street, just cuz I thought the name was cool to say.
