I'm not a big fan of Jacobite shirts, mostly because I don't like the leather lacing at the neck. Also, I think I'm big enough that I'd look like the Sta-puft marshmellow man in one.

But, to each his own. They look just fine on other people.

I'm surprised after 7 pages of posts no one has mentioned the well-styled kilt shirts from Freedom Kilts, both in roll and band collar, cotton, cotton/hemp or 100% hemp. One of these is still on my wish list.

    Turpin,

I like the length of the FK shirt, and I especially like the band collar shirt. I wish the sleeves were just a tad fuller and maybe a half plackett...so it would be a pull on. I am probably alone but I even liked the earlier version shown in the thread you linked to.

Trouble is, when you go to the Freedom Kits website you can't order a shirt...?? The page that may list them is not up or operational.

The inspired individual just might try contacting the Wizard of BC by PM or email for more details.

Well, I have one that I wear occasionally to the pub. I feel a bit odd wearing it, but the ladies seem to to like it very much, as I always get a couple of positive comments.

The freedom kilt shirts look great. I think most people are talking about the lace front puffy shirts that one finds on ebay and in shops for fairly cheap.

I wear mine for dancing (Ceroc & Folk) with a lightweight under-shirt to mop up the sweat. Looks good, the ladies seem to like it. Only drawback is that it can be very hot to dance in when the weather heats up!
