USA kilt vs sport kilt

Gentlepeople,
I am also the owner of both USA Kilts (Semi Traditional) and Sport Kilts.

My Sport Kilts are great for the field of competition (Caber Toss), and for impromptu rugby matches. The Sport Kilt has the pull to stay in place for the rough activity that athletic endeavor requires.

My USA Kilts are for wear at the pub, around town and to look good in tartan, while still having the ability to clean safely the spills of children, ( I teach kindergarten, and first grade religious education kilted ), and then throw on the vest and argyle to speak at the pulpit in the adult service.

My House of Edgar Scottish Wool kilts are for when the family gets together for celebrations, etc. Usually worn with PC.

The 1922 Tank hand sewn in Scotland for my great-grandfather, and passed down to me is only worn PC for very special family events.

My Freedom Kilt, Stillwater Kilts, Amerikilts, and Utilikilts all serve their purpose here in Boston for running around on the "T", doing the basic errands of life.

We have so many options for being kilted, that we need to be careful of what we expect from what kilt. As Jamie stated they fill very different niches in the kilted world.
